I'm sitting in the lounge pictured above trying to get motivated to finish packing.
We have only travelled about 12 miles in each direction from our cottage. The journeys down the little lanes always leaves you wanting more, from picturesque cottages, wild flowers & sea views.
We have spent much of our time at the little hide away beach Cwm tydu. Wow!!!
You have got to see it for yourself. There is a free car park & a small car park by the little cafe which is £1. Toilet facilities are basic but clean.
We have kayaked from here most days. Great launching on sandy beach. No dangerous currents and good paddling both ways out of the bay. We have seen a seal, which was about 20ft away from us, most days.
The incoming tide waters can be a bit choppy, but I managed it.
Cwm Tydu beach.
We enjoyed a great beach BBQ and made sure we left no mess. PLEASE clean any beach after your visit & leave only footprints.
New Quay is just along the coast. We spent a lovely evening enjoying Fish & Chips from one of the many offering this tasty delight. We chose the second one as you walk down from the car park on the seafront. It is next to the supermarket and was beautifully cooked.
This little devil was only to keen to help us devour our tasty meal!
The little seaside village Llangrannog holds a produce market every Wednesday. We saw a great friend John from Teifi Cheeses which was no surprise as he is based a few miles away and is available to visit. His cheeses are amazing and have won world awards.
The oldest church in Caerdigion is in the village and well worth a visit. There are also several Geocaches in the area as well as the most amazing Ice Cream which is hand made in the little cafe on the seafront. It boasts in having 20 most delicious flavours. My favourite was the peanut butter. 01239 654502 Caffi Patio.
Llangrannog Church
Leading down to Mwnt
Another jewel is Mwnt. The Saints church is set on the headland ahe base of a large hill. The following photos show the church & graves.
The graves outside are equally amazing.
The stonework is exceptional.
We climbed to the top of the hill, the view was spectacular. Even my mum made it. At 73 she was so proud.
This is the view from the top
This is the climb up.
Here we are at the top

Our final day we went back to Llangarog and took theses photos of St Crannog who looks out over the bay
St Crannog.
The next photo is a fantastic use of old railway carriages for tourist accomodation
Then it was back to Cwm Tydu beach for the last bit of holiday sun & kayaking before we said the sad goodbyes and set off for home
I hope you have enjoyed my blog & perhaps you will get to visit for yourself.
